Roles & access
This page shows you how to control what each person can do in Zinye Learn. There are four roles, from “just learning” to “runs everything.”
The four roles
Section titled “The four roles”| Role | What they can do | Best for |

| Student | Browse courses, enrol in batches, and work through content. | All learners |
| Course Creator | Create, edit, and manage courses, chapters, and lessons. | Authors and teachers |
| Batch Evaluator | Create batches and live classes, and grade student assignments. | Teaching assistants and instructors |
| Moderator | Full access to all content, users, and settings. | Administrators |
Everyone starts as a Student. You grant the higher roles only to the people who need them.
Assign a role
Section titled “Assign a role”- Open the person’s profile — Settings → My Profile in the portal (or the User record in the admin desk).
- Add the role(s) they should have.
- Save.
A person can hold more than one role — for example a teacher who is both a Course Creator and a Batch Evaluator.
