Creating a course

This page shows you how to build a course in Zinye Learn, from an empty shell to ready-to-publish.

Create the course

Section titled “Create the course”
  1. Open Courses and click + New.
  2. Give it a title, a short description, and (optionally) a cover image.
  3. Save.

Add chapters and lessons

A course is organised as chapters, each holding lessons:

  1. Inside the course, add a chapter (for example Getting started).
  2. Add lessons to the chapter.
  3. For each lesson, choose its content:
    • A video (embed or upload)
    • Text with images and formatting
    • A quiz or assignment for assessment
  4. Order chapters and lessons so they flow in the right sequence.

Keep lessons short and focused — one idea each. A learner is far more likely to finish ten short lessons than three long ones.

Preview and publish

Section titled “Preview and publish”
  1. Preview the course to see exactly what a learner sees.
  2. When it’s ready, publish it so it appears in the catalogue and people can enrol.

You can keep editing after publishing — add lessons or fix typos any time.
