Connecting your data
This page shows you how to connect the data Zinye Insights builds charts from. You do this once per source, then everyone can build on it.
What you can connect
Section titled “What you can connect”Zinye Insights can pull from several kinds of source:
- Your Zinye ERP and other business databases
- Other databases (such as MySQL or PostgreSQL)
- Files and spreadsheets you upload
You can combine more than one source, so a single dashboard can draw on everything.
Add a data source
Section titled “Add a data source”- Open Data Sources.
- Click + Add Data Source.
- Pick the type of source.
- Enter the connection details (for a database: host, name, and the login it should use; for a file: upload it).
- Save and test the connection.
Manage your sources
Section titled “Manage your sources”From Data Sources you can see everything that’s connected, edit a connection, or remove one you no longer use. Once a source is connected, its tables become available to pick from when you build a query.
