Custom domains

This page shows you how to put your site on your own web address — for example erp.yourcompany.com instead of yourname.zinye.com. Both keep working; the custom domain is just friendlier for your team.

Before you start

You need to own the domain and be able to edit its DNS records (at whoever you bought the domain from — for example Cloudflare, GoDaddy, or Namecheap).

Add your domain

1. Open your site and go to the Domains tab.
2. Click Add Domain.
3. Type the address you want to use (for example erp.yourcompany.com).
4. Zinye Cloud shows you a DNS record to add — a CNAME pointing your address at your site.

5. Go to your domain’s DNS settings and add that CNAME record exactly as shown.
6. Come back and click Verify DNS.

Once the record is verified, Zinye Cloud automatically issues an SSL certificate, so your site loads securely over https://. Your new address appears in the Domains list with status Active.

Caution

DNS changes can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours to take effect across the internet. If Verify DNS fails right away, wait a little and try again — you don’t need to re-enter anything.

Tip

You can mark one domain as the Primary one in the Domains list. That’s the address Zinye uses in links and emails.
