Migrating a site
This page covers moving sites — bringing an existing site into Zinye Cloud, and moving a site between regions or servers once it’s here.
Bring an existing site in
Section titled “Bring an existing site in”If you already run a Frappe/ERPNext site elsewhere, you can migrate it onto Zinye Cloud by restoring its backup:
- From your old site, take a full backup — database, public files, and private files.
- On Zinye Cloud, create a site (matching the version), or use the migrate/restore option.
- Upload your backup files and restore them onto the new site.
Once restored, point your domain at the new site and you’re live on Zinye Cloud.
Move a site between regions or servers
Section titled “Move a site between regions or servers”Already on Zinye Cloud and need a site in a different region (for data residency or latency) or on a dedicated server? Use the site’s migration / move action:
- Move across region — relocate the site to another data centre.
- Move to a server / bench — move it onto your own dedicated server or private bench.
Zinye handles the move with a short window of downtime.
