Workbooks
This page shows you how workbooks keep your work organised in Zinye Insights.
What a workbook is
Section titled “What a workbook is”A workbook is a folder-like space that holds the queries, charts, and dashboards for one topic — for example a Sales workbook with your sales queries, the charts built from them, and a sales dashboard. Keeping related things together makes your analysis easy to find and easy to share with your team.
Inside a workbook you’ll find three kinds of thing:
- Queries — pull and shape data from a data source
- Charts — visualise a query’s results
- Dashboards — arrange charts (and text) into a dashboard
Create a workbook
Section titled “Create a workbook”- On the Workbooks list, click + New Workbook.
- Build your queries, charts, and dashboards inside it.
Saving and experimenting
Section titled “Saving and experimenting”Your changes are kept locally until you save — so you can experiment freely, then Save when you’re happy or Discard to go back to the last saved version. If you accidentally close the tab, you can reopen the workbook from your browser history and recover unsaved work.
