Payments & banking
This page shows you how to record payments — money received and paid — and match them to your bank.
Payment Entry
Section titled “Payment Entry”A Payment Entry records that money has changed hands. It can be made against a sales invoice, a purchase invoice, an order (as an advance), or as an internal transfer.
The easiest way: open the submitted invoice and click Create → Payment — the party and amount are filled in for you. Or create one directly under Accounting → Accounts Receivable/Payable → Payment Entry.
Set the Payment Type (Receive, Pay, or Internal Transfer), confirm the account paid to/from, and submit. The payment is matched against the invoice, so the customer’s or supplier’s outstanding balance updates automatically.
Bank reconciliation
Section titled “Bank reconciliation”Bank reconciliation is matching your Zinye ERP records to your actual bank statement, so the two agree. Import (or enter) your bank transactions and match each one to its payment entry. Anything unmatched is something to chase — a payment you forgot to record, or a bank charge to enter.
Doing this regularly means your cash position in Zinye ERP is always real, and your month-end close is quick instead of painful.
