Employee benefits

This page shows you how to offer benefits beyond salary — and let employees choose and claim them.

A flexible benefits scheme gives each employee a benefit allowance they can allocate across options you offer (for example transport, meals, or medical), often with tax advantages.

  1. Set up the benefit components your scheme offers (in payroll settings).
  2. An employee submits a benefit application choosing how to split their allowance.
  3. They submit benefit claims (with proof) to receive them, and the amounts flow into their pay.

Record each employee’s health insurance details against their profile, so cover is tracked and can be reflected in payroll where relevant.

Beyond standard benefits, you can add one-off or recurring extras through payroll:

  • Additional salary — a bonus or allowance for a period.
  • Employee incentive and retention bonus — reward and retention payments.

These attach to the employee and appear on the right salary slip.
