Getting started

This page shows you how to open Zinye Insights and point it at your data so you can start building.

Open Zinye Insights

Section titled “Open Zinye Insights”

Sign in to your site in the browser (your address looks like yourname.zinye.com). You land on your workbooks and dashboards — your analytics home.

Connect your data

Section titled “Connect your data”

Before you can build anything, connect a data source:

  1. Open Data Sources (in settings or the sidebar).
  2. Click + Add Data Source.
  3. Choose the kind of source and enter its connection details — for your Zinye ERP data, the team can supply the right connection.
  4. Save and test the connection.

Once connected, the source’s tables are available to query. See Connecting your data.

Build your first thing

Section titled “Build your first thing”

With data connected:

  1. Create a workbook.
  2. Build a query to ask a question.
  3. Turn the result into a chart.
  4. Drop the chart onto a dashboard and share it.
